Screen Tearing in Games

So i currently have a asus monitor that is 60hz, my pc outputs 70-80 fps in battlefield 1 and i get screen tearing when in game moving. My question is if i were to get a 144hz monitor would at least some screen tearing go away or will i have the same problem. I kinda dont have enough money to purchase a g sync monitor so thats not really an option. i was thinking on getting the Acer - GN246HL https://pcpartpicker.com/product/PmyFf7/acer-monitor-umfg6aab01

Have you tried disabling vsync in the settings menu in BF1?
