screen tearing on you tube and games

for some reason im getting screen tearing in all games and when going into full screen on you tube. is there a way to fix it without v sync?

Well, it depends on what you are using as a monitor. Try this, right click desktop, go to Display Settings, Display Adapter Properties, go to the monitor tab, and make sure the refresh rate is as high as it can go.

im using a display port cable hooked up to my graphics card. i checked my settings and my monitor is running at 60hz. so is windows
