[SOLVED] Screen Tearing . Please help. No one has an answer for my problem

Every single game I own has extreme screen tearing to the point where it unplayable. All my games like csgo and dead by daylight, which I used to be able to play just fine, can't be played anymore at all. I've tried adding more ram, replacing my cpu cooler, I ran diagnostics and benchmarks and everything told me it was ok. I've reinstalled most drivers and most of my gaming software and nothing helps. The weird thing is the only game I can run is the latest call of duty at 60 fps which is much more demanding than a game like csgo which anyone with a decent graphics card can run these days.
Here's my build:
Asus ROG Maximus X Code
Intel i7-8700k
be quiet! dark rock pro 4
G.skill Ripjaws V (2x4GB)
Corsair Vengance LPX (2x4GB)
GTX 1080
EVGA Supernova 650 PSU

Sidenote: I haven't taken my computer to a tech shop and have never overclocked my computer. Thanks

When you mention gaming software, are you just referring to the games themselves, or are you perhaps using some kind of software that promises to "optimize the gaming experience"?

What do you mean by gaming software?

So apart from screen tearing, you are also experiencing a significant reduction of FPS in games that used to perform better, but not FPS drops in every single game you play, is that correct?

When you reinstalled the graphics driver, did you try using Display Driver Uninstaller (run from Windows Safe Mode) to completely remove any trace of previous drivers, before clean installing the new graphics driver?

What monitor are you using, and what is the maximum refresh rate of the monitor?

What number of FPS are you usually seeing from your games with the settings you currently use?
I'm using the vg278q. 1ms, 144HZ. Used to see 144+ on most games except the graphics-heavy games. Now I'm getting like 40 on all games except COD. Tried plugging in my pc to my tv and I still got heavy screen tearing on my games so monitor wasn't the problem

I've reinstalled my gaming drivers like GeForce Experience, I've reinstalled steam, and all the individual games I owned. Haven't used display driver uninstaller. I'll try it

Yes, I've had reduced FPS and major screen tearing in all games except COD. I literally have no clue why other than maybe just maybe my game driver only works for cod. Longshot of a guess but idk
