Hello, i have a 165hz 1080p monitor along with a msi b550 gaming plus atx, ryzen 5 3600, rtx 3070, and 3600mhz ram. In every game i play i get screen tearing, i have v sync turned on in the game and still tearing! i have forced it on thru invidia panel, and it causes visual stuttering, so i turn it off. adaptive and fast vsync have the same tearing also. dont know what to do. any ideas for a fix?

Its a freesync monitor. In this game i average 120 fps. Yeah both thru windows and nvidia control panel have 165hz set.
I will say I am surprised you have tearing with 120fps on 165Hz. Is it just that game menu or does it happen in all games while playing?

Assuming you are using a display port cable you should be able to enable G-Sync on a Freesync monitor, have you tried? This would eliminate tearing assuming FPS stays within the Freesync Hz range.
