Today i received a BenQ Rl2455hm rts gaming monitor. Now i didn't have much time to play with the settings and i have it set to rts mode but on the monitor with adaptive v-sync enabled i still noticed some screen tearing but not as much as it would be with vsync disabled. on my other monitor I never had that problem. My best guess it that it has to do the rts mode setting or another. Does any one have any suggestions on what settings i should use for any genre of games not specifically rts games.

GO TO RUN, TYPE IN SERVICES.MSC
GO TO Desktop Window Manager Session Manager RIGHT CLICK ON IT AND THEN PROPERTIES, THEN AUTOMATIC, THEN START SERVICE, THEN APPLY
SAME THING IS WITH Theme SERVICE, AND THAT'S ALL

As mentioned Adaptive v-sync does not stop tearing completely. What Adaptive V-sync does is turn on V-sync if you are currently able to maintain your refresh rate, and turns it off when you cannot. So if you have 40 FPS on a 60hz monitor, tearing will be present, but if you have 60 FPS, V-sync turns on, and you no longer get tearing.
