Question Screen tearing

I have the latest drivers and an about 6 month old GTX 1050 ti that works as it should. Never had this problem and V-Sync doesn't fix it. Games work fine, screen tearing doesn't occur without reason. On YouTube it's weird tho, the screen tearing doesn't occur constantly but it's visible. Why?

I'm doing research on G-sync monitors (turns out I can probably buy a Freesync one since Nvidia is making their cards "compatible" with Freesync.) and was wondering how big a problem "tearing" is.
