Hi all, I apologize for the ignorance my question will reveal. I have a 2080 Ti and use an LG C1 Oled TV. This TV is capable of G-Sync, VRR, Freesync. It's also capable of 4K 120 but I still can't get my hands on a 30 series card. Anyway, when I am playing games the only way I can seem to get rid of screen tearing is to turn on dreaded V-Sync. It doesn't matter if I have VRR enabled on my TV. It doesn't matter if I turn on G-Sync both in the Nvidia control panel and on my TV. This is in ALL games. I have screen tearing period unless I turn on V-Sync and I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. This is the first display I've ever owned that is capable of any kind of VRR, so it is probably something stupid and easy I am missing. Thank you all!

You mean ALL types of VRR require 2.1? I knew you needed 2.1 for 4K 120 but I didn't know it was required for all types of VRR. Well if there's good news it means I'm not a dummy and was missing something stupid. I guess yet another thing to wait for until I can get a 30 series card.

It’s display port or HDMI 2.1, it is part of the new 2.1 standard. As the TV doesn’t have display port you need to use HDMI. From what I read at the time of my upgrade was a display port to hdmi adapter would not work.
