[SOLVED] screen tearing

i have a gtx 1660 and msi 165hz monitor and if i run 165 fps i get micro screen tears all over my screen its un playable and if i go 180 theres still alot of micro stutter but not as much and anything above 180 feels really framey and like low fps pls help if can

This sounds like it might be a performance issue and not a fps/Hz issue. Can you run userbenchmark and share the public link to the results.

Tearing is a result of a mismatch between the frame presentation capabilities of the cpu/gpu and the presentation capabilities of the monitor.

This is a complicated issue. Fixing tearing may introduce input latency issues.

Look into triple buffering as a solution.
i play competetive fortnite i cant input delay and theres no buffereing option only v sync

1750x1080 seems like a strange resolution for a graphics card.
Can you try something like 1600 x 900?

With graphics card prices what they are, you would be hard pressed to upgrade your graphics card which is what I guess you need.

I know little about fortnite but a lower resolution might help with fps.
