As the title says, the screen will turn off after several minutes of gaming, doesn't matter which game.
After the screen turns black I hear the windows error sound, and that's it, I can't do anything except manual shut down.
The mouse and keyboard lights are still on, so as the fans and the case LEDs.

I thought it was a PSU problem so I replaced my old PSU with a brand new one, but it didn't solved the problem.

other things I tried to do so far:
  • run CCcleaner
  • run Malwarebytes
  • cleaned the pc with compressed air can
  • uninstalled and re-installed the GPU driver
  • run windows memory diagnostic check
The GPU temps are ~70 max, ~40 idle. The CPU temps are ~50 max, ~30 idle.
Specs:
  • Intel core i7- 6700K 3.4ghz
  • Gainward Geforce GTX970 4GB
  • Corsair PSU 650W 80+ gold RM650i
  • MSI Z170A GAMING M5 motherboard
  • HyperX 2x8GB 2133mhz RAM
  • SSD : Apacer 120GB
  • HDD: Seagate 1TB + unknown 1TB
Does it sound like a GPU problem, RAM problem or something else entirely?
And what kind of tests I can do to make sure what makes the problem?
please help.

Are you on the latest BIOS update for your motherbaord? Which version of Windows 10 are you currently on? If it's only happening while gaming, it';s probable that the GPU might be on it's way out. Speaking of which, which version of drivers are you on for the 970?

Thank you for the quick respone, everything is up to the latest version.
The pc is about 3 years old, the GPU was bought in 2016, how can I be sure that the GPU is what causing the problem?
