So I had bought a HP oem rtx 2080 the one with red lighting blower model.

I tried it on my
Asus b450 prime
Ryzen 7 1700
Xpg d41 8x2
Inland 120gb ssd(boot drive)
Evga supernova nex650G 80+ gold

First I used ddu to take my rx 580 drivers off. Then when I installed it It just turned the screen black after installing.

I then redoubled windows, 3 times. Wouldn’t even load to windows just showed the logo and went black.

On my second machine

Gigabyte h81i itx
Xeon E3-1240
PNY 2x8gb ecc
256gb inland ssd(boot) brand new just took out the packaging
Evga 600GD 80+ gold

It boots to windows then turns of in less than 5 minutes. After that I can no longer get into windows.

I have to re download windows again and again to get any image then goes black again.

The components are all tested with my msi rx 580 and asus strix rx 560

I got it for a really good price so I want to know if anything could be done to avoid returning. I am able to return since it came today and I have 30 days to return by eBay’s policy.

And how was I supposed to know that?

It doesn't use actual "drivers" until it enters Windows and ultimately fails.

Did you make sure to install the 2080 drivers and not let it install generic Windows drivers?
In the little time I have I try to install the drivers but they take to long.
So you reckon it’s because of the windows drivers. How could I stop that. Or could you link a video as I don’t really know what to search up.

sounds like a bad one:mad:
Yup it’s not working.
I downloaded drivers with my rx 580

moved drivers file into a usb

Did a fresh install of windows

turned off automatic drivers

Moves the drivers into c drive and not even half way into the install black screen again to no signal splash screen on my monitor.

I did it while internet was not connected
