Couple of weeks ago, the problem started. The screen would just randomly turn black(not turn off) but the PC and monitor would still be on. Num lock light didnt change after pressing the button, sound stopped and i just pressed the reset button everytime this happened to fix it temporarily. I've run benchmarks to see if it was a temp issue but that's not the case. Reinstalled drivers, reinstalled the OS, updated the BIOS, took apart my whole PC, dusted it off and put it back together but the problem still persisted. Tried DVI-D instead of HDMI, used one RAM stick instead of 2, changed the monitor but still no luck. I thought maybe it was the GPU, so i changed to the iGPU. Strangely enough, i had exactly the same problem but instead of the screen turning black, the screen froze. I've tried all the energy saver solutions on other threads with the same issue but still no luck. At this point i concluded that a component is faulty and i needed to replace it. The problem is i don't know which component is causing these problems.

Specs:
Intel Core i5-4460
Sapphire R9 390 Nitro 8 GB
Hyperx Fury 2x4GB DDR3-1600 memory
Asrock H97 Anniversary
EVGA 600B
Samsung 850 evo 250GB as boot drive, WDBlue 1TB HDD as 2nd drive.

Does anyone have any experience with this problem? And/or on how i could fix this?
It's getting really annoying, because i can't play a game for longer than 10 minutes without the screen turning black

UPDATE: i actually noticed that after the screen froze with the iGPU that i got a blue screen with the stopcode THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER
i've googled around for a bit and followed the instructions on how to fix it but still no luck
I don't know if this problem is related to the screen turning black when using the GPU or just a completely different problem.
