Hello,
Thanks for taking the time out to look and offer possible solution.
The problem is, under load (i.e. gaming or running heaven) my screens go black and fans to full speed (very loud). Only fix is a force restart. In thinking the GPU as fans, LED's, and the PC itself continues to run (sound), but not sure. I have tried troubleshooting every-which way with no luck. Thought I would crowd source some answers on here before going the RMA route.
Here is some pertinent information;
I built this computer six months ago and it has been running smoothly with no problems. I had not gamed on it in several months and when attempting to yesterday I ran into this issue.
GPU monitor shows temps OK but core clock and mem clock at max. (I deleted Afterburner as I heard this could be the possible culprit to no avail).
I ran a stress test on the CPU and memory. Passed.
As stated above, it runs fine unless I am running GPU intensive programs (i.e. gaming, heaven etc.)
For the sake of being thorough I double checked all cables leading to PSU.
System specs;
i5 6500 CPU
GTX 1060 (Gigabyte) GPU
MSI H110M Mobo
Evga 550 G2 PSU
Toshiba 3TB HD
Samsung EVO 240 GB SSD
Please let me know if you need anymore information. Thank you very much.
