Screensaver won't show up, it gets closed everytime

Not even clicking on preview.

No energy options disabled (I set all to 1 min)
No energy wake-up options on at network devices
No mouse connected
No usb devices
No programs opened
No "weird" processes running

Would you help me out with this? Thanks in adv guys!

Microsoft screensaver (ie built-in to Windows) or third-party?

Hey Philip... Built in. The screen doesn't turn off either. 🙁

I tried to make it run with preview on screen settings, within windows-starting-up and it worked. But after windows was fully loaded it stop cancelling again, although the process seem to be still running for some minutes after.

Same result with all the built-in screensavers?

(No need to try them all actually, just 3 or 4 will do for my purposes).

A big nope... Every screen saver behaves the same. Only the first 2 or 3 times you press "Preview" work. After that they close as soon as they open.

Most likely a hardware setting issue or it's conflicting with some software running in the background.

The trick of course is knowing which hardware setting or background software it is so I dredged up some threads that might help:

Oops, can't include any more even though there are loads of them 'cos my browser playing up not finding web pages.

Guess what! I've already stumbled onto those links, but nothing seems to work.

I installed a 3rd party screensaver and it worked only the first 2 times on Preview, then, nothing again.

What else could it be?
