Hi,

Well, I got my case screw stuck in my B85-G41 motherboard and when I try to pull it out, It won't come of. I just hear a pop sound.

I tried helding the motherboard standoff with a plier on the backside and then tried to get it of with my screwdriver, but it doesn't seem to work because the standoff still spins with the screw I'm trying to get out.

Is there another way to get the wrong screw out?

I don't exactly know what you mea, but I cannot remove my Mobo (Motherboard) because of that one screw. My mobo is stuck between the standoff and the screw. I am using the VG5-W case if that is some critical information.

Right I got that part. It's no different than with any other mechanical part anywhere else. If thread is stripped you need to maintain a pull on it while you turn screw. It should unscrew from metal back plate and come out with MB. Than you can use pliers to hold to standoff and unscrew it from MB.
It has to be last screw holding MB of course.

I feel pretty dumb not understanding this.

Can you tell me in steps how it should be done?

And I've got a metal back plate that I should click into place before screwing the motherboard.

I do appriciate the time you take to explain it, thank you

Or maybe we are missunderstandig each other. Let me tell my problem again:

While installing my motherboard, I screwed 5 of the 6 standoffs with the correct screw.

And I screwed the remaining one with a case screw.

Now that I want the case screw to get out, I just hear a metalic pop and it gets right back at it's starting position. The screw is located somewhere above the GPU and under the plugs where the metal back plate is.

I have no access to the standoff because the front side is blocked by the case screw and the backside is blocked by my second pc layer.

I hope that this gives a better vision of my position.

Long story short,

My case screw is stuck and won't come off and I do not know how to get access to the standoff that's stuck with that screw.
