Scroll problems

Hello,
i have a dell vostro 1500 and i cant get the scroll function on my mouse pad to work how can i fix this

Welcome to the forums.

For me, I go to the control center, mouse, and on the right tab, device settings, there's an option for the virtual scroll. I'd check to see if you have something like that also. Might be as simple as the settings are turned off or the sensing area is so small, it doesn't register.
