scsi 0 gb

Hi guys,
i have two scsi hard drives , 1 is 36gb and the other 18gb. They were given to me by two different persons, from different servers. i have 2 adaptec 29160n, so i've tried both hard drives on both controllers. My problem is that both hard drives are shown as no volume, no partition, therefore 0 gb. that happens in the controler menu, and in windows too. My guess is that they were both removed from an existing raid without unmounting them. is there any tool to fix this?

Odds are they were magnetically wiped before being 'released' and both are probably rendered useless. If you cant even format them as a single drive this is would be why.
But you might get lucky and find a low level formatting utility on the manufacturers website that will restore them, or a free utility if you can still find one.
Not all drives store configuration info on the platters (which gets erased with a magnetic wipe rendering the whole useless)
