SCSI Drive questions

Hey Guys,
I had a couple of questions for you all.

I am using a HP proliant server and had some general questions.

What does it mean when the LEDs on the front of the drive are flashing all at once?

And what does it mean when the arrow LED is on but no other LED is?

What's the model number on your server? It would help.


If you have a 1U server setup then your probably using two drives in a raid 1 right?

The if on drive is active and the other is not, the array could be rebuilding its self, or the second drive is in active beucase there is no new data to mirror.
In the case of the DL360, which the Pro's are based on all lights means that all is well, youll see amber when the system is in a panic or when a eth($) is diconnected. The actual readwrite is seen in the drive trays. Use the raid utility to discover if your are using single drive configs or dule array.
