Hi all,
Am building my first ScSi system after 3 IDE systems and have a question about what the pin numbers mean. Is there a real differance in performance between the Cheetah U160 9.2 G with 80 pins and the one with 68 pins. The cost dif is a bit much if there is really no dif but I really would like to know.

80pin drives and 68pind drives perform the same. the extra pins supply the power so you do not need a seperate power source and can "hot swap" them. note however you generally need special equipment for the 80pin drives or converters. so 68pin drives are really the only choice.
