Currently I have a SCSI hot-swappable RAID array set as RAID 5 with three 36.4GB hard drives. If I added a forth drive, would the RAID just absorb this drive and write the parity data to it and give me the increased storage space? Being hot-swappable, would I have to configure anything in the OS (currently W2K server)? Thanks

I agree with fetal. Hot swap is replacement of a failed drive, without having to shut down the PC / server to do it. Your controller MAY support dynamic expansion, but that is a separate issue.
