I have been doing some research on a new CPU cooler for my 4200+, and I decided on the Scythe Ninja because I probably has the best cooling potential of anything on the market, and it has the ability to function completely passively. My only concern is about the backplate and mounting. I have heard that it has a really crappy backplate and that it can destroy your motherboard if your not careful. I need to know if these are just know-nothing n00bs, or if there is any real concern about the saftey of the Ninja.

They are most likely the retards that couldn't think ahead and realize they might want a different heatsink in the future. Then went ahead and removed the paper backing on the adhesive pad that's on the backplate. In my opinion you get what you deserve if you knowingly stick an adhesive surface to the back of your motherboard.

Sorry if I sound a bit harsh but it pisses me off, the posts I've seen about the Scythe backplate adhesive. People crying about Scythe being idiots, WELL YOU"RE THE ONE THAT REMOVED THE PAPER BACKING MORON. Not to mention that Scythe, in the included manual, clearly suggests to use the backplate supplied with the motherboard.

So yes, these are retarded n00bs.
