I bought a new SD card for my home security camera, and it works perfectly. The camera saves video onto the card, and I'm able to later view them through the camera interface.
But... when I try to connect the card to my PC (or smart phone), the file system is not recognized, and it asks me to format it. Even if I agree to format it in the PC (a full non-quick format), and then connect it again to the camera to save new videos (I don't re-format in the camera), it works fine in the camera, but the next time the PC still can't access it and asks to format again.
I've seen a lot of advice about how to recover files in this scenario using special software, but I don't want to have to deal with that every time. I don't mind having to delete this batch of videos, I just want a reliable way to copy future files. (through wifi takes a loooong time, and needs to be done one half-hour file at a time, so that's not an option).
Is the SD faulty? is the camera writing in a format the PC can't recognize? (again, I've only formatted in the PC. the camera has a format option which I didn't use).
PC has win10 and the camera is a Vimtag VT-361.
Thanks!
