SD card is not detected on my mobile phone and its a 8GB

Hello,
what can be causing my sd card to not be detected on my phone and is there anything i can do to fix it?

I wasn't for sure which category to pick for my Micro SD card for my phone

have you formatted it?
does it work in your pc? (it would still need to be formatted.)

i am having same problem..
it is detected on computer and the phone is accepting other cards..
