SD Cards - Does The Manufacturer Make a Difference?

Select you SD card based on Speed. The newer cards will be faster
although your camera may not be able to take full advantage of the
faster cards. Still, you can move the card to your newer camera in
the future.

Your problem will be in determing the speed of the advertised card.
Part numbers are critical.

They do indeed make a difference. Don't go with Sandisk.
Buy a Panasonic or Lexar 32x. That way, you're sure of the quality.

What makes you think the Panasonic or lexar is any btter quality than a
Sandisk?

32x is slow by the latest standards. 10MByte/sec = 83x
