SD Reader disappeared after Windows 10 update

(I tried this thread under 'storage' a few days ago, but haven't received any replies, so am reposting here. Apologies for the identical posts)

Windows 10 Updated last week and I have since been unable to read SD cards.

Looking in Device Manger, there is no Card Reader showing up as far as I can see.

All USB ports seem to be working fine.

I've tried reinstalling the most recent driver that I can find direct from Lenovo, but with no change.

Have also tried System Restore to revert back to pre-update, but the process failed to complete.

Lenovo H30-50, I5-4460, Windows 10 64-bit

Power off your rig, close the psu power button, hit the power button to discharge, remove the power cord. After that, power on your system. It should then normally detect the card reader device.

I tried Tolis_GR's solution and the SD Reader showed up immediately on booting up.
