See if the drive is recognized by BIOS?
In case it is not, you can attach it with different cables to another SATA port. If the issue persists, then most probably, there's something wrong with it.
In case it is, then you can go to Disk Management, initialize -> partition & format it.

Thanks for your help and the other two ppl's solutions as well. Replacing the piggybacked connection of the ssd and hdd on one sata cable (since they were possible from one cable) to two sata cables and learning why the mobo listed a sata 1-3 or 4 connection places helped along with a 2nd win10 install. Thanks again all of you.
