SDD game question

Hi, I plan on buying a SSD for Day Z . SDD improves Day Z's frame rates because of how the game loads textures. I'm only interested in having Day Z on my SDD . Do I have to install a OS on my SDD or can I just plug it in and use it as a 2nd storage drive for Day Z .

If you want to speed up only the game, you may just install only the game. But for all round performance increment, Install the OS+Game to the SSD.

You don't have to install an OS to the SSD, but I would recommend it. That would make your whole computer boot and run faster. Most people install all of their programs onto the SSD, too, so they open up very quickly.

Honestly if I were you, I would install my OS and the game. It will benefit from the SSD performance.
