Hello,

I have a question and I can't decide myself so I'll ask you guys. I have a budget for my next build, I chose all other parts but I can't decide what to get for storage. A 1TB HDD or a 120 SSD? Also note that I have an external HDD 1TB. What do you guys think I should get?

That depends a lot on what you do with your PC and how much data you have.

Me personally, I would not make a new build without one.
But the space-price tradeoff may be an issue.

An SSD brings a whole new feel to the PC experience, but if the space is an issue, then the 1TB HDD may a wiser choice.

120 gig ssd is pretty small if you use your pc for gaming... you will use about 30 gigs for the windows install and page file leaving you arround 90 for apps. this will run into 8 or less games. personally i would say go for 250gigs as there not that much more expensive now.
a 1tb hdd gives you more options for storage but will sacrifice a little speed for things like boot time but will make pretty much zero difference in gaming. other than as i said inital load times being a little longer but not by a huge amount.
so as usaf points out its pretty much what you want to do with your pc that will determine the drive config...
as for the external 1tb. i would take it out of the case and put it inside the pc if it allows it... normally you just open the box. disconnect the drive from the usb to sata circuit and plug it into a sata lead in the pc... reason for this is external drives tend to be really limited in speed. often as low as 50MBps... putting it in the case can add another 70MBps giving around 120MBps total.. (this is variable as with all drives) it should then be a lot faster than it would normally be outside the case.
