Question sdd seems to be slower at downloading than my hhd. What do I need to do if anything?

I finally gave in after one of my games said an ssd is a minimum requirement. Took some doing to finally get the ssd to show up in File Explorer. From checking it out in bios and testing it there then finally going to the manage storage spaces and creating a new storage pool. With that done I downloaded Steam and Epic launchers onto the ssd. Thatwas fast enough but it's really slowed down on Borderlands 3 from Epic. Tho it's not the game I wanted to use the ssd on it's the one downloading first through Epic. I have 2 other hhd that I have had installed long before this new ssd. One has the op system on it. I'm still new to the whole ssd. But in reading all that I have I am slightly confused still about what to try next and if there is anything I can do.

Downloading from "the internet" has nothing to do with drive speed. Either HDD or SSD.
That is all up to your connection from the ISP, and what the Steam server is giving you at any particular moment.

you were right. I took off my internet line from my hub that split out then connected straight to my tower and tested speed. found it crazy but slow. Downloaded CCleaner and it fixed whatever because wow... it's where I needed to be. It wasn't the speed per se of the internet but whatever was slowing it down was in my pc.
