Hi I have a SSD 240gb and it has no room left only about 10%. The question is i have brought two new sata hds (1t), can i move all the program files form the SSD to these two hds and just leave the SSD as the my boot disk? RAID 0 is my preferred format for these two disks. I don,t want to have to reinstall all the software and reinstall the OS as will take me ages can any one help please? I know how to connect the Hard drives and format them ect.. But do not know how to move programs installed of one disk to another. I thought about cloning the whole drive to the other ones them deleting to OS of it but would this make a mess of the new drives I guess?

I have just a SSD 240gb at the Moe in the system (using a external drive for any files, phontos ect) and I just want the two seagate 1TB hard drives (Just brought) to have all the installed programs on(Raid 0 setup if pos).

You can't just 'move' your programs.
You can uninstall from where they are, and reinstall them on the other drive(s) as needed.

Steam games, you can move, usually without problem.

how do you analyze sorry to sound dumb. I do move all the files which are photos etc.. I just thought with computers now day you could move programs in some simple way without having to reinstall. I do have quite a lot of programs install. I do have steam which does take a fair chunk, so you can move it to other drives?

Ok i understand looks like I got a lot of programs to reinstall then :-( Thanks for advice 🙂 I am formatting the drives only at 18% so slow SSD much quicker but cost to much. At least I can move steam nice one. ;-)

To have a backup of the other two discs i guess in case one dies. would this not be the best way to make backup if a Hd dies on the stripped drives or have I got the meaning of Raid 5 wrong? Just thinking of ways to recover system if things go wrong.
