SDRAM Or RAM?

I got the Gigabyte Z370XP SLI. Can I choose from DDR4 SDRAM & DDR4 RAM? Or can I only use one kind?

They are used interchangeably, DDR4 SDRAM and DDR4. Both are the same.

They are the same thing. RAM popularly moved from asynchronous FPM/EDO to synchronous back in 1996-1997 and ever since, all DRAM has been SDRAM. DRAM itself replaced all other types of main memory RAM back in the early 1970s. Cache is still SRAM today because it's faster.
