seagate 2tb backup plus not recognized

i have a newly purchased 2tb seagate backup plus, not recognized in any computer and OS, the light goes on steady for a while then keep blinking. when plugged in other computer/laptops device software installing but never installed successfully.
please help..

Try different SATA ports and also take a look in disk management to see if it shows up there. If you just bought it and have never connected successfully to multiple machines, you may just want to exchange for a new one.
