[SOLVED] Seagate 2TB HDD not working

hi

i have this hdd https://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Expansion-Portable-PlayStation-STEA2000400/dp/B00TKFEE5S

its shows on my pc but as soon as i click on the main folder or try opening the files the computer just freezes, ive tried reformatting and partitioning nothing works

please help, ive contacted seagate but since its out of warranty by a year they only told me to run a few tests and said theres nothing more they can do

As it has firmware problem at least. I advice buy new one.

If the drive isn't repeatedly clicking, You may be able to disassemble the drive and see if it is a Sata drive that you can connect to your PC (you'll need a spare Sata & power cables.) and see if it works there. If so then its the USB Bridge.
