Seagate 2TB Slim Plus

This drive shows all files on my laptop but is not being recognised by my TV via usb port nor my WD TV player...any answers would be appreciated

Most likely answer is that the tv cannot read NTFS or GPT formatted drives. Theres a good chance that the tv would be using one of the linux formats which, if you allowed the tv to format the drive, would leave it unreadable by windows. Can you see if theres an exFat fortmat option for the tv? That one is often reabable by both. Keep in mind that formatting the drive will erase it; so have backs made before you experiment.
