Seagate 5TB Slow Writespeed

Hello,

I have bought a Seagate 5TB external Hardrive STEB5000100.

I was testing it, and the write speeds are just so slow. The read speed seems correct, but the writespeed is not even a third of the read speed.

I was wondering if something is wrong?

I assume that you are not using usb 3.0 or the motherboard that you are using doesnt support usb 3.0.

I just recently fixed the problem.

The problem was that my PC automatically puts in the safe mode, and I had to manually go to the device manager and change the policy to optimized mode. After this the write speed went up from 25MB/s to 170MB/s.
