Question Seagate 8tb HDD Causing Game Stuttering

So I just bought an 8tb barracuda hard drive from Seagate and every game I've tested freezes up constantly with the audio looping and the curser free. These will be 3-6 seconds long and happen randomly but often. After exhausting every potential problem with my pc I moved one of my games to my SSD where windows are installed and it works fine, so I'm pretty sure its a problem with the HDD. I've run Seagate's diagnostics tool on it and everything checks out. So my question is is this a problem with large drives or is this one a dud, is there anything I can do to fix it?

Is this one of the 5900 rpm drive with 256mb of cache?
