Seagate Backup Plus Portable Harddrive

I have a 1 terabyte Seagate Backup Plus external hard drive. Just had it a month. It started blinking and is not recognized by the laptop. I have another one exactly the same and it works fine. Switched the cables - no change. Drive still blinking. Any way to save this? I just put a lot of music files onto it and was just a about to back etc. Looked through Seagate tutorials etc but don't see much to fix it. Much obliged. T Leve

Or you can also test it with windows Error-checking tool:
Randomly right click a partition in “My Computer” to select “Properties”=> Open “Tools” tab and hit “Check Now”=> Mark “Automatically fix file system errors" and "Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors".
Otherwise, you have to send it to a recovery service.
