My Seagate hard disk not spinning.. also not accessible in disk management..

I tried almost everything.. tried on another pc and other OS..

I tried to connect my hdd using SATA also but no response..

Help me about this..

Thanks..

Well it won't be accessible anywhere if it doesn't spin so there was no point in looking in Disk Management anyway.

If it's a connectivity issue, failure to spin can be caused by a faulty USB cable so try a new cable.

If that doesn't fix it, it's possible the drive itself is faulty so it will have to be replaced.
If it's still covered by the warranty, contact Seagate to RMA it.

Okay..what about data then

Hi there viper23,

If the HDD is not spinning up, even after when connected internally through SATA, then I guess you should use the services of a data recovery company in order to retrieve the data(or at least some of it) that is stored on the drive.
Most of the HDD manufacturers have their own data recovery service and/or have some trusted data recovery partners. So, it may be a good idea to check this out in the HDD manufacturer's website or contact the Support.

Hope this will help,
