Seagate Backup Plus Slim - I formatted right out of the box

I got the 2tb version and when I got it, I saw that the seagate dashboard software was useless and I wanted to use the hard drive for only media storage. However, I registered the device and after I formatted it, the device was still recognized anymore by the software. But did I void the warranty? I want to know if this matters at all.

No. It's really easy. You use Windows, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Disk Management.

Formatting an HDD or SSD will not affect the drive Manufacturer's warranty. So you can format your Seagate as often as you want.
