Hi guys, I am new to pc building and am cabling up my seagate hard drive. It is purely for storage as I am using an SSD drive to boot from.

On my seagate drive(which is only for storage) I have the power and SATA hooked up. But there is an additional 4 pin thing that I don't know if it needs hooked up or what it is for. Can someone help me, what is this and do I need to cable it up? Please see picture for visual reference. Thanks everyone.

Solution
These pins are not for connection rather they are jumper settings most likely to select RPS (Reduce power spinups) or SSC (Spread Spectrum Clocking).

In short, don't bother about it and ur HDD will working fine as it is 😀
