Hi!

I'm trying to install Windows Server 2008 on a computer that has a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3320813AS in it. The drive shows up in BIOS, but it doesn't show up on the partition select page in Windows install. Do i need drivers/firmware of some kind? Please help me, i really need help, fast:)

Best regards,
Erik

Sounds like you either need to load a driver or use Drive Options and make some "unallocated" space available. The drivers would come from the controller the drive is attached to; ie - if the controller is on the motherbd then get them from the manufacturer of the motherbd. If this is a premade server (Dell, HP, IBM...) then get the drivers from them but you will probably need to know which controller you have the drive attached to. There's usually several you can choose from when you order the server in addition to the one(s) on the motherbd.

Could this be a firmware issue? The BSY problem? The BIOS manufacturer is American Megatrends, Will i get motherboard drivers from there?

If nothing works with this drive, I'll connect a 160GB barracuda 7200.9 HDD, which drivers do I need then? My primary focus is the 7200.11 though. Thanks for answer
