Seagate Barracuda clicking sound

Hi,
Seagate Barracuda dropped on floor after that cant access data.
Hdd itself is recognised and working well i can open see all data but when i try to select any data hdd start clicking noise and turn off. Need to restart pc to be recognised again.

Clicking sound is the death rattle of a hard drive. Get a new hard drive and if you are lucky you may be able to copy some data off the old one, but from your description even that is unlikely.

Thanks for the fast answer but plates are fine i have similar barracuda with same head changed head same case when i want to access data hdd turning off, must to be pcb problem but i want few more answers from exp users before buy new pcb.
New hdd isnt problem i need that data its 3 years working on him.

Hello,

You dropped your HDD, so you damaged the heads and/or the actuator system and/or the platters; if you will change the HDD's PCB, you will have the same problem.
