Hey,
I am currently using seagate barracuda hard drive for my desktop and it got corrupted. So now I am trying to buy new hard disk and I got to see seagate pipeline hard drive in market so how pipeline model differ from barracuda ? Can we use pipeline model hard disk instead of barracuda or is there any compatibility issues with mother board or so.

Thanks in advance,
Koti.

Hello Koti. I might be mistaken but from what I know, Seagate Pipeline hard drives are "weaker", perhaps older as they run below the usualy 7200 RPM from the Seagate Barracuda, have less memory (you can find 500GB + from Barracuda) meanwhile it is hard for me to find any Pipeline with 500GB (always less). Furthermore the compatibility of the Pipeline is SATA II meanwhile the Barracuda is SATA III. Pipeline has 8MB cache while Barracuda has 64MB and Pipeline has 3GB/s while the Barracuda has 6GB/s.
