I just bought two harddisks Seagate Constellation ES.3 4TB for my PC storage (games, music, movies). The model is ST4000NM0033 SATA interface.
The problem is the temperature is so high. It arounds 41-44 Celcius for normal use.
Is it normal for this Seagate Constellation ES.3, because I think the enterprise harddisk will have a higher temperature, because they're designed for 24/7.
In addition, my previous WDC Green 4TB and Seagate Barracuda 2TB only run around 35-39 Celcius when I play heavy games.
I think my cooling system is enough. My PC case is CM 693.
I have used :
- CM MegaFlow 20cm (Front and Top)
- CM JetFlo 12cm (on HDD Cage)
- CM Blade Master 12cm (Rear)
- Standard Fan 12cm (Bottom)
About the performance of this Seagate Constellation ES.3:
Sometimes I hear sound the harddisk like it was accessing the harddisk itself or what (I dunno the term and how to said...🙁 ).
But, the sound especially can be heard, when Windows first booting, and when I access a large amount files in folders, I will hear sound such as loading sound from the harddisk, then the files will be displayed on my monitor. After that, no sound anymore from harddisk.
So, this sound from harddisk is normal or not ?
I just bought these harddisks, and I've checked with HD Sentinel, the heath is 100%
Badly, I dunno how to read SMART from Harddisk...
For copying data, it is fast enough around 130 - 150 MB/s
I hope someone can explain about temperature and performance of this harddisk.
Thank you...
