Seagate Expansion 1tb Problems and errors ?

Hello people ! by the i am very sad , because i just brought my seagate expansion 1tb hard disk drive. and then i completed the seagate setup. So, then i wanted to transfer my files they were about 270 GB i copy and then pasted it to the hdd. then the copying files started but it is very very slow the speed is about 2.70 Mb/second. and time remaining was written as 2 hours. so i waited for 2 hours but then also i did not finished and perhaps it was just completed 4 or 5 GB files. so i thought to just put 1 file at a time but then also it is not transferring !! please somebody help me from this issue thanks in advance !!

Hi there chatts007,

You can start with something simple as just changing the USB cable as well as the USB port. If you have a desktop computer, try the ports on the back of the casing. Trying the drive on another computer will not hurt as well.
Try transferring one big file instead of lots of small ones.
If the issue persists, you can test the drive with a brand specific testing tool. The results will show you the health status of the drive. If the drive fails the tests, then I guess you should contact the manufacturer.
