Seagate external Hard drive not reading.

Hi My 15month old Seagate external Hard drive is Spinning ok, but doesnt appear on My Computer Page,

but appears on Devices and Printer page as Ini-3910

I am running Windows 7 vista, and recently had it reinstalled.

Can any one help so i can retrieve my Files, Please?

Don't know if this helps but I also have an external seagate hard drive about as old as yours. Once it stopped working for me, turns out the problem was the data cord. They are not that well made and may require a bit of adjustment as the data cord doesn't fit perfectly into the external HDD. Play around with it a little bit if you haven't already. Also would recommend trying different port on your pc.

PROBLEM SOLVED......So i took my Seagate external Hard Drive to a Computer wiz

and he pulled it apart with ease, and unplugged the SATA to USB Converter

and Connected my Hard Drive to his PC and there were all my 300hrs of Files

Sitting nicely where i left them, Loaded them onto a WD 500GB HDD and

$20 later i left with a smile.

Have two USB sticks at home that are non Functional, he said sure bring them in

i will look at them.
