Hi, I have a Seagate 1TB external hard drive which is not been recognized by my PC. When I plug it in the green light at the front just flashes and the motor inside doesn`t even seem to be running. I have checked in disk management but it doesn`t appear in there either. I have also tried to use my hard drive on other computers but it still does not work. Any help would be great, cheers, Richard.

When you say you checked in Disk Management, where? An empty new HDD will only show up in ONE place - the LOWER RIGHT pane of Disk Management. Moreover, that pane SCROLLS so you can see all your hardware devices. If the new drive shows up there, then you can proceed to the two-stage process of Partitioning it and Formatting the Partition(s) you create. But if it really in not in that Lower Right (scrolling) pane, you could have a faulty piece of hardware.
