for starters the model number ST2000DX002

Would a pair of these SSHDs leverage the 8GB flash portion of the drive effectively in say a RAID 0? I know the flash portion isn't separately addressable, but I wonder if the software would detect another FireCuda in the array and stack for a 16GB "cache"

I'm gonna try it if no one has yet, if someone could kind of assist in how to tell its being utilized properly. I am no hybrid drive wizard.

whoops, sorry! I'll leave this up if anyone else happens to ask the same question but i just got a response from Seagate themselves...

"Unfortunately, the FireCuda drives are not designed for RAID environments and the SSD portion of the drive does not work correctly in a RAID. You would actually want to use IronWolf drives in a RAID."

So, no RAID 0 for FireCuda SSHDs
