I previously used my Go Flex 2Tb it in my Mac as a backup and worked just fine..
I tried connecting it in my PC with Windows 7 but cannot be detected..
The light in its base is on but is unsearchable in the Seagate Manager even in the Computer Icon.. Would appreciate the help since am planning to transfer some files in my PC as well..

Many thanks.. :)

Hey there, JCTan!

Most probably your external HDD is formatted for Mac OS (HFS+ file system) and that's why it is not recognized by your Windows 7 PC.
Windows cannot use HFS formatted drives without a third party software, I believe there's such a utility that you can download and use on your PC.
The other option is to backup the external on your Mac, where it is recognized and re-format the HDD in exFAT file system in order to use it on both Mac and Windows computers.
Here's a link with a tutorial that explains how to do that: http://goo.gl/rcwRp2
Just make sure you backup all the data, re-formatting it will erase everything on the drive.

Hope this helped! :)
