Seagate FreeAgent Go 320GB 2GE6TYQT does not work on Windows 8. IS there a new driver available?

Is there a new driver for windows 8 for Seagate FreeAgent Go, 320GB 2GE6TYQT?

Yes, physically it works, but the W8 does not support the auto-backup, whereby the software looks at what has ben saved already, and just saves the newly dated files, since last backup. There should be an updated driver as the HD is still under warrantee, but I cannot find one nor does Seagate apparently support this product, which is not an acceptable business practice. Does anyone know of a W* driver update for the Seagate FreeAgent Go 320 GB HD?

That is an entirely different issue and you should have stated that much. That device does not have Windows 8.1 driver, only Win7 (http://www.seagate.com/support/downloads/item/fa-2.6-master). You can try installing the Win 7 version, but there are no guarantees that it will work.

You should look into file history (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/set-drive-file-history) though, it might provide just what you are looking for (and more)
