Seagate Go Flex vs WD Mybook?

I would just look at price / warranty on the two and get the one that comes out ahead in those terms. It's just going to be individual options otherwise, and you can't really gauge much based on one or two users experience with them.

Personally I won't buy WD drives, but that's just an opinion which isn't related to them failing.

I haven't had any issues with reliability with either my personal WD MyBook or the Seagate Go Flex I use at the office. The only real advantage I would give to Seagate is that they have tried to make their drives compatible with future interface types by using a dock plug instead of a specific USB/e-Sata port.

Generally the internal drives have a longer warranty to start as well, it probably is worth looking at this as an option if you are comfortable installing a drive in an enclosure which pretty much anyone should be able to do.
